At each meal starting at lunch there was generally a number of beverage options. It was very common to have wine with lunch and certainly with dinner. There was generally always a red and white wine. Sometimes the red was a simple table wine, and often during dinner there was a special red or white offered. It was outstanding! There was also a finger food generally available too. Such as what we would call doughnut holes and this was a fruit cake type treat. It is dried in the sun, very dense and sweet. But the real food is in the room just left of this table.
